Fred Sarkis has served the North American Pharmacy Industry with innovative Blood Pressure Management products and services for over 20 years. Forming a distributorship in 1987, Fred’s first company introduced automated blood pressure kiosks to pharmacies across New York State and Canada. With a focus on quality equipment and satisfaction guaranteed service programs, Fred’s company rapidly penetrated the New York State pharmacy market in a few short years and became the dominant force across Canada by the mid-1990’s. In 1997, the company was named to “Rochester’s Top 100” privately held companies and continued its explosive growth throughout the 1990’s.
Josh entered the automated blood pressure business in 1991, shortly after graduating from Middlebury College, in Vermont. He served the company simultaneously as a sales manager, field technician, operations specialist, and logistics management. The company grew quickly, and Josh served an integral role in the company’s transition from a small regional distributor, to a leading North American distributor by the year 2000.
Ashton Maaraba has an extensive background managing both Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Manufacturing companies. His primary concentration is in brand operations, management, development, strategy, marketing, and execution. His primary success is in the retail and health care marketplace. He has over 14 years of multi-segmented brand management experience including product sales, marketing, advertising, core business operations, and strategic client development throughout Pharmaceutical/Retail/OTC/Pharmacy and HBC marketplace.
Vanessa has over ten years of industry experience. She has vast experience managing specialty operations and production inside the blood pressure kiosk manufacturing field. She began her career in the automated blood pressure monitor industry when the company was a distributor and remained closely involved as the company began to transition into the design, manufacture, and distribution of the PharmaSmart line of blood pressure monitors. This was the company’s first transition as an independent entity.
Lisa has a diverse background spanning over 20 years in the electro-mechanical, military and medical device design fields. She is a performance focused leader and visionary that drives PharmaSmart’s “Anytime, Anyplace” remote monitoring strategy and she offers a unique blend of executive acumen, solutions development and regulatory compliance expertise to PharmaSmart Int.
Drew launched his successful career as a mechanical engineer for Medrad Incorporated, a global leader in fluid-delivery imaging systems. Throughout the course of ten years he served in a variety of leadership roles most notably, manufacturing engineer and engineering manager. He played a critical role in bridging manufacturing with research & development which helped the company exceed growth targets by quadrupling in size. Drew was an active team member, serving on performance improvement teams that earned merit recognition such as the prestigious Malcolm Baldrige award.
Matt has over 15 years of experience in the finance and accounting fields. In May of 2000, he graduated from Canisius College in Buffalo, NY with a 150-hour MBA in Accounting and then passed all four parts of the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam in November 2000. Matt was a member of the finance department for a Rochester, NY construction company through December 2002, when he moved to a regional CPA firm in Rochester. Matt obtained his CPA license from the State of New York in January 2004. In September 2007, Matt became the Controller at a Rochester Top 100 manufacturing company. Matt joined the PharmaSmart team as Controller in April 2012.
